Can't do *everything* on my own.. ;)

Hello darlings.. have you missed me?  I've been awfully neglectful lately.. hope you can forgive me.  I assure you, there are exceptionally good reasons for my absence.  Let's just say that wild horses can indeed keep me from other, much more enjoyable, things.  ;)

I've gone back and forth for a while on how I wanted to write this particular entry; indeed, I've written and re-written it several times, and none of my pedestrian efforts are pleasing enough to me to be elevated to published status.  So I'm going to try something new.  Don't you enjoy being my guinea pigs?  :)

My task is to write about the local  BDSM/fetish/swingers clubs (yes, I recognize that those terms are not interchangeable or, at times, related).  Well, I live in an area where 'local' could imply one of three states. Also, I have absolutely zero experience with the in-person scene- since I've relocated here, I've been stuck in vanilla land.  So I asked myself how on earth I could come up with a decent list of clubs and review them if I have no direct knowledge of the subject?

Here's where you come in, darlings.  I'm going to start you off, then you're going to tell me what *you*  think.  I know I have followers from Georgia and Tennessee here, and perhaps one or two from Alabama..  that's what I consider local, but that doesn't mean that my other readers can't pop in to share a good word or two for their favorite hotspots (or, of course, where we should steer clear of!).

C'mon, don't be shy.  We're all friends here.  This little corner of the world is as much yours as it is mine, so take advantage of it!

My pick is the much-touted 1763 in Tucker, GA, just outside of Atlanta.  Let me sum up very simply:

It's a 10,000 square foot dungeon.

Ooof.

Now, my house (all inclusive- garage, living space, courtyard) is 5,000 square feet.  I'm envisioning that space, doubled, containing nothing but fetish equipment and naughty, naughty kinksters, and..

Ooof.

1763 offers both regular and special events (if you're in the neighborhood, their scheduled event on January 30th, Stations of the Cross, comes highly recommended).  You'll need to pay a membership fee ($20 for 14 months, $10 for 6 months, $5 for one-time entrance) in addition to any special event fees (variable depending on individual/couple/group status and, in some cases, gender), but when taking into account the quality of the events, variety of equipment, and the lengths that the staff go to to ensure the physical and psychological safety of participants and attendees, the fees are more than reasonable.

For out-of-towners (or locals wanting a kinky getaway), there are dungeon suites that can be rented so you don't have to end your evening early.

And no, I have no idea what a bondage super cube is, but I'm having one hell of a good time trying to figure it out.

1763 is one of those great but rare finds: a facility that's educational *and* hella fun, staffed by knowledgeable and friendly folks.  I'm looking forward to visiting as often as possible.

Tag, my lovelies.  You're it.  ;)
